Why Innoculate?

Legume crops such as soya, lupin, lucerne, clover can “fix” atmospheric nitrogen normally unavailable to plants. This is done in specialised structures on the roots called nodules. These nodules are formed by specific species of soil bacteria – Rhizobium that have the ability to infect the roots forming these nitrogen factories. The plant supplies food to the nodules in return for nitrogen supplied as and when the plant needs it. Inoculation boosts the natural population of beneficial nitrogen fixing bacteria. Adding these specially selected, field tested strains of bacteria ensures the crop has all the nitrogen required for optimum yield.

One application provides nitrogen throughout the crop
Replaces the need for more expensive chemical nitrogen fertilizer
Only feeds the crop - not the weeds
Improves crop standing power
No leaching of harmful nitrates into ground water
A natural process that replenishes nitrogen reserves of soil benefiting following crops
